Websites Design

WEBSITES DESIGN FOR EVERYBODY CAPSTONE

Starts Coming soon
About the Capstone Project
The capstone will develop a professional-quality web portfolio. Students will demonstrate the ability to design your own website and implement a responsive site for a minimum of three platforms. Adherence to validation and accessibility standards will be required. The evolving student implementations will be reviewed each week by capstone peers and teaching assistants to make sure that the student keeps up with the agenda of the course. Upon completion of this course students will feel comfortable creating and/or updating existing front-end sites, utilizing existing frameworks, and testing sites for accessibility compliance. This course is only open to students who have completed the first four courses in the websites design for Everybody specialization: Introduction to HTML5, Introduction to CSS3, Interactivity with JavaScript, and Advanced Styling with Responsive Design.
Website design encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. The different areas of designing websites include web graphic design; interface design; authoring, including standardised code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimization. Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the web design website process, although some designers will cover them all. The term website design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing mark up. Website design partially overlaps web engineering in the broader scope of web development. Web designers are expected to have an awareness of usability and if their role involves creating mark up then they are also expected to be up to date with web accessibility guidelines.
